Who has bonus dollars?

Me!

I already have $10 in Bonus Dollars and it is only the 8th of July!

You know the deal for Bonus Days, right?

For every $50 order you place in July, you will receive $5 to spend in August, on anything you'd like, INCLUDING a new pre-release holiday bundle, Carols of Christmas!

How did I get $10 in Bonus Dollars? I spent $100 on product yesterday.

It has really been rough beach weather this week ~ horribly hot and humid, blowing and stinging sand, biting flies and
So, I had a lot of time on my hands and a Stampin' Up! catalog close by.
Maybe I should have picked up the novel I have just started,  Savannah Breeze. It's an older one by Mary Kay Andrews, my favorite of the Queens of the Beach Reads authors.

Although the skies were threatening with thunder and lightning and gusty winds, no precipitation,  just the loss of power for a bit.

All's well that ends well.

But oh, more Bonus Days details: collect as many $5 certificates as you can this month ~ you can use them all on one or more orders next month. They do expire, however,  they must be used during August.

When your order qualifies for Bonus Dollars,  Stampin' Up! will email you certificate codes to redeem.

HOLD ON TO THOSE EMAILS.

Save those emails because I will not get a copy of them .  The codes will not be re-mailed.

So, happy shopping. What's at the top of your list?

It's here ~ the new Stampin'Up! Annual Catalog

I love the idea that SHARING IS CARING, don't you?

There is soooo much that is new, even the carry over stamp sets look new in the new catalog. So, how do you see everything in the new catalog?

You can view the catalog on line directly from my blog/website: www.upallnightstampin.blogspot.com.

I also have hard copies of the catalogs that I will be giving away at my upcoming classes and at my STAY & PLAY CATALOG LAUNCH on June 17.

So, brew a cup of tea or coffee, or pour yourself a cold one and look through the latest and greatest. Have a notepad close at hand and a very sharp pencil to keep track of your shopping list.

If you have any questions, need advice (or a personal shopper) - please ask!

Would you like to receive some of those items on your wish list for a little less than the stated price in the catalog? I have a couple of ideas!

I am ready to stamp from the new catalog - are you?

Let's stamp!

Color Me Happy

It's here ~ the NEW 2016 - 2017 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog
They're here ~ the NEW 2016 - 20018 In Colors !

Ready for the names that only SU could create?
Flirty Flamingo    Dapper Denim   Emerald Envy
Peekaboo Peach   Sweet Sugarplum

Which might you think is my favorite color?

It may be just a little too early to tell, but I can tell you that the colors are amazing. And what I have found very interesting is that I think I prefer, for the most part, a stamped-off version of each color.

The color combos are beautiful, too ~ Dapper Denim and Emerald Envy are gorgeous sea colors when stamped off. Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo go together like two scoops of chocolate and vanilla ice cream. Actually, the Peekaboo Peach reminds me of Creamsicles!!  These are just In Color with In Color, think how they will pair and combine with our standard color families.

The Color Coordination section in the new catalog begins on page 168. And if you have never noticed, SU 'bundles' together all of the stamp pads in each color collection to sell as one unit, saving you money. The In Color ink pads are $27.50 for the five colors.

Likewise, SU has also conveniently packaged, at a savings, the ink refills. Refills are handy to have when you find that you have been overly enthusiastic with a particular color and the pad is low on ink. It's easy to refill - squeeze the ink from the refill bottle directly onto the ink pad and smooth it over with the back of a plastic knife, as if you are icing a cake. I am borrowing that comparison as we all know the last time I iced a cake! There are also creative coloring and stamping techniques that call for liquid ink ~ I'll show you the shaving cream technique next week.

Are you on page 168 of the catalog yet?  See the Assortments insert at the bottom? (Quick! What color is used for the background?!) Cardstock is available in collection assortments, both 12 x 12 and 8 1/2 x 11. Get a little to start with and then larger packs of your favorite colors. Not that that would work for me, but ... Designer Series Paper Stacks are stuffed with 40 sheets of double sided paper. Plus, SU is also offering Envelope Paper in In Colors ~ turn over to page 176 to get a better look at the colors and designs.

The Stampin' Write Markers are also sold as one unit ~ so convenient! And markers can be used to color on your stamps; great for multi-color images. (My July 11 class will feature coloring and will include a pack of the new In Color markers!)

I hope these colors make you happy! I'll be playing with them at BINGO this weekend and also during the June 13 and July 11 classes; please pan to come!

Still need a catalog? Come to class on June 13, or contact me and I'll get you one!!

It's a New Year at Stampin' Up! Hap - hap - happy new year!

and just one last thing, to help with your Wish List

I want it all ~ REALLY!

Cut, Score & Fold

Today's work was good therapy ~ I managed to measure and trim and fold with few mistakes.

I have been watching tutorials on Pinterest. Searching for favors, I found the directions for covering mini-sticky note pads with scraps of DSP.  Sandra Ronald at http://sandraartecardare.blogspot.com provided the instructional video with her lovely UK accent that had me heading to the kitchen for a cup of tea.

The pieces needed for mine were only 2 X 6. It was not hard to find plenty of paper that size for seldom do I toss scraps of paper. I also broke out the Simply Scored Scoring Tool (board) today. These covering wrappers need to be scored in 6 places; it was far easier for me to score with the stylus and the grooved board than to use the scoring blade and the Stampin'  Trimmer.

Here is a closer look:

And why would I need a dozen sweet little clutches of sticky notes ~ to flag all the exciting new products in the new catalog!! I probably don't need all of these, so maybe my dear stampin' friends would like them? (I don't need to flag the items I want; I want them all!)

You can also see tea bags in something of an envelope. The envelope/pouch is referred to as the 'diaper fold.' Square sheets of paper is all you need; another great use for the convenient 6 X 6 paper stacks, and you'll find some in the new catalog.

For an upcoming tea party, I think these will be lovely. They are easy to construct, need no adhesive and a 6 X 6 square will fold up nicely to hold a tea bag, or a square of chocolate, or BOTH! I think I will add a small detail on the front - a die cut cup, a label with a sentiment, a flower ...  I  can't wait to craft these for the next baby shower ~ not that all mothers today need to master the diaper fold themselves, although it actually might be easier than swaddling.

Anytime that you are scoring and folding, use your bone folder for crisp, flat folds. It really does make a difference.

And more more item to mention: I had a plastic coil, a clear cover and a hard back added to my catalog at my close-to-home office supply store - for about $5, it allows the catalog to open flat and protects the edges from constant wear.

I would love to give you some of these favors; please sign up for upcoming classes and events. And please use the ideas yourselves ~ make someone smile.
